Paradise Valley Stamp Company Sale - S111

"Paradise Live" The "Provenance" Sale S111 Live Bidding at StampAuctionNetwork - August 21, 2021

Sale #S111 The "Provenance" sale of United Stamp Quality Stamps: Live bidding will start at 1 p.m. EDT on Saturday, August 21, 2021 on Stamp Auction Network. Lots sold in this sale are subject to a 12½% buyer’s premium.

We are pleased to offer a select group of US and Canadian stamps and covers of exceptional quality or rarity including many from the classic period. Each was chosen by the consignor using the StampAuctionNetwork provenance and census system to find stamps and covers at the top tier of the census.

Virtually all of the lots are in the top ten of the census and 20 of them are first, second or third. The consignor purchased them believing that the market may not have known that they were the best examples available. These should be in high demand for collectors building a collection of the finest stamps.

Of note are the 2nd best examples of #37, #63b and #186 used, #128 used previously offered in the Zoellner sale, the 7th highest example of #132, the 3rd best example of #205 mint, the top examples of C8 mint NH, C15 on cover, the third best example of #C14 used. There are also exceptional Officials (#O69 1st), Postage Due (#J66a 3rd), and Newspaper stamps (#PR111 and #PR112 both 1st) . Canada is represented by a single stamp with the 5th best example of 1868 3c Red Large Queen on laid paper used.

This is the first time that an auction firm has provided access to the provenance and census data at no charge. In addition, each successful bidder in this sale will receive 6 months of premium extended features ($39.95/month) so that they can have access to the complete provenance system for this sale, their collection and any other sales offered at StampAuctionNetwork.

The provenance and census data is a great tool to be used for comparing individual stamps from the same issue and keeping track of value trends for particular stamps and issues. The data is compiled using image recognition technology. Even though this is a relatively new technology that only will improve over time, it is remarkably specific in recognizing individual stamps.

This sale will be offered using live bidding on Stamp Auction Network.

Important note to e-mail bidders:
You will always receive an e-mail confirmation from us upon receipt of your bid.
